Suzuki’s first electric car is being launched in India for Rs 10 lakh!

Japanese carmaker Suzuki Motor Corporation is reportedly planning to launch its first electric car in India. According to a media report, the company may launch its first electric car in India by 2025. However, no official statement has been issued by the company. In India, Suzuki Motor works closely with Maruti and Maruti Suzuki’s one electric car – Wagon R EV is already a hot topic in the country. The car has also been spotted several times during road inspections and live pictures have been leaked. However, Maruti has not yet announced its launch.

The report also claims that the car will be launched in the country first, after which the company will launch it in its domestic and other markets. However, it may take a long time for the car to reach India. The report states that the car could be launched by 2025. Not only that, the report also gives information about the price of the car to come. The price of the upcoming Suzuki electric car is said to be between 15 lakh yen (about 10 lakh to 11 lakh rupees).

Sales of electric vehicles in India are currently very slow due to low charging infrastructure. However, the Government of India has set a target of having at least 30 per cent electric vehicles in the country by 2030. In addition, the government is providing subsidies to increase consumer interest in electric vehicles. Recently, the Gujarat government’s new EV policy has resulted in a significant reduction in the prices of electric vehicles in the state. The Maharashtra government has also changed its policies, increasing subsidies.

It’s been a long time since Suzuki’s electric car arrived in the country, but the Maruti Suzuki Wagon R EV is expected to be launched in the country soon. However, the company recently clarified that they have no plans to launch their car anytime soon. Wagon R Electric has been spotted several times during road inspections. Its design has also come to light through live photos. The Wagon R Non-Electric is the most preferred car in the middle class segment in India. That is why the upcoming electric version is also expected to be launched at a lower price.
